Selection Criteria for New Tenants

The Trust gives priority to local people in need, whether working or retired, and to those who have strong family connections with the area.
 

Applicants Need To:

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrate a genuine housing need.
• Show that present accommodation is unsatisfactory.
• Be unable to buy or rent privately at prevailing local prices.
• Have lived locally for a significant period or been brought up locally or have relatives living locally.

Desirable Criteria

• Have strong connections with the local community in which the property is situated.
• Have been employed locally for a significant period.

Please Note:

• Tenancies are reviewed regularly and if the tenant's circumstances change such that they no longer meet the Charity's criteria, notice to vacate may be given.
• Regular contact with Tenants is maintained and property inspections are undertaken by Trustees or their Agent.
• Failure to comply with the Tenancy Agreement may result in written notice to vacate.
